Stone Creek Grill is a quaint restaurant in northern Illinois. It has a variety of items on the menu, but is known mostly for pizza, stuffed baked potatoes, Fish Fry Friday, and Taco Tuesdays. Food is excellent, service is great, and the atmosphere is rustic log cabin. I particularly love the fireplace in the main dining area. They also have Illinois State Slot Machines on the upper level out of view of bar and dining area. The prices are a great deal and they give ample food.
The family (6 of us) decided to eat dinner here on Friday night. My husband called ahead and asked if we could be placed on the wait list, they did this without hesitation. When we arrived, about 20 minutes later, there was a long wait list. It was a pleasant surprise to see our name already at the top half of the wait list. The hostess notified us that we would be seated within the next 5-10 minutes. This was better than the 45 minute wait that the other patrons were being advised. I suggest you call ahead and get placed on the wait list on Tuesday and the weekend.
